- singular subjects need singular verbs
- plural subjects need plural verbs
Ex : my brother is a nutritionist
My sisters are mathematicians
( we should knowing the subject first and than recognizing the verb )

Rules of Agreement
1. Indefinite pronouns
Anyone, everyone, someone, no one, nobody is always singular and need singular verb.
Ex : somebody has left her purse
Pengecualian : all & some
Depending on what they are referring to (countable or not )
Ex : some of the books are missing
Some of the water is gone
None
Depending on the noun that follows
Ex : none of the students are in the class
None of the food is fresh
2. Together with, as well as, along with
Not the same as and, so dont add or compound the subject
Ex : the mayor, as well as his brothers, is going to the office
3. Subject separated from the verb/appositing
Ex : the mayor who has been convicted is finally going to jail
4. The pronouns of adjective clause
Become singular or plural according to the noun directly in front of them.
Ex : salma is the scientist who writes the reports
5. Either + or and neither + nor (singular)
Used subject closer to the verb
Ex : either my father or my brothers are going to sell the house
Become plural when these pronoun are followed by prepositional phrase beginning with of.
Ex : are either of you taking this seriously ?
6. Pseudo subject there and here
Never be subject, the rea subject is after the verb.
Ex : there is no reason for this
Here are two apples.
7. Third party singular
He, she, it, personal name
Need to add s-ending the verb (only present verb)
Ex : the cat eats fish
